A Blackduck pottery fragment with a mix of horizontal and diagonal markings.

Blackduck ceramics from the late woodland period are generally globular, thin-walled vessels. They are often elaborately decorated on the lip and rim with cord wrapped tools and punctates with the impressions being applied to the surface while the clay is still wet.
