One of two miniature Cree snowshoes. Around the front and back of the snowshoe respectively are six red pom-poms. The webbing has been done in sinew and the frame is made of a light coloured wood. Stamped in black on the snowshoe it reads "Made by J. Lindberg, Sioux Lookout, Ontario."

Jake held various jobs around the area, including working as a blacksmith at the logging camps in Lac Seul, at the Farlinger sawmill in Sioux Lookout and had a lengthy career with C.N.R. His retirement was given over to his hobbies of fishing and snowshoe making. As noted on the original museum accession card "Jake passed away in 1977. He would be amused that from the air, the cemetery where he is resting is laid out as a giant snowshoe."
