Description:
A wool C.N. Mechanics hockey sweater. The sweater is mainly red with white and blue stripes running across the shoulders and down the sleeves, and around the bottom. There is a large "M" sewn on to the back of the sweater. The cloth label inside reads "Tease Knitting Co. Ltd. and had the initials "A.I." handwritten over top. There was another cloth label that reads "J.V." sewn into the jersey as well.

The sweater was worn by Alfred "Butsy" Delrizzo around 1928 when he played for the C.N. Mechanics. The Delrizzo family moved to Sioux Lookout in 1913, originally hailing from Italy. Butsy played for a variety of hockey teams in the area including The Mechanics, the Sioux Lookout Monarchs, and for Howey Mines in Red Lake, where he was paid fifty cents per hour to play hockey seven days a week in 1932.
